We described here that Hong Kong Chinese with RANTES -28CG and GG genotypes had a 3.28-fold (95% CI: 2.32–4.64) and 3.06-fold (95% CI: 1.47–6.39) increased risk of developing SARS respectively (P < 0.0001) (Table 3). The gene discussed is CCL5; the disease is severe acute respiratory syndrome.
