Therefore, we attempted to assess the contribution of cyclin D1, cyclin E, CDK4, p53, mdm-2, p21waf, Rb, p27KIP1, p16INK4A and Ki-67 expression to the development of HPV16/18-associated cervical carcinoma and to determine at what stage of carcinogenesis these aberrations start to manifest. Here, CDK4 is linked to cervical carcinoma.
