One cluster included Keratin 14, 17 and LY6D (Figure 1d); Keratin 17 is a known human basal-like tumor marker [1,12], while LY6D is a member of the Ly6 family of glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored proteins that is highly expressed in head and neck squamous cell carcinomas [13].
