Lowering the positivity threshold (e.g. to 70 ngml−1) might have allowed the detection of two interval cancers with LAT between 70 and 100 ngml−1: if so, sensitivity would have been raised from 73.8 to 77.0% (or 75.4% with LAT between 80 and 99 ngml−1). The gene discussed is LAT; the disease is cancer.
