Ductal carcinomas showed upregulated genes which are involved in cell proliferation, signaling and cell cycle regulation, including RHOU, member of the Rho family of GTPases stimulating quiescent cells to reenter the cell cycle; PCSK6 encoding a calcium-dependent serine endoprotease; PRKCI encoding calcium-independent and phospholipid-dependent protein kinase C; PPP3CB encoding protein phosphatase 3; and CKS2 encoding a component of the CDC28 protein kinase. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK6 and breast ductal adenocarcinoma.
