Bclaf, also named Btf, was identified in two separate yeast two-hybrid screens: one using E1B 19K, an anti-apoptotic protein from adenovirus [34] and the second against Emerin, an integral nuclear membrane protein, involved in the Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy [35]. Here, BCLAF1 is linked to Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy.
