Systematically identified by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis combined with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry and further confirmed by Western blot analysis in the NPC cell-lines, fibronectin, Mac-2 binding protein and plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 were found to be potential markers for diagnosis of NPC [18] (Table 1).
