CXCL9 (MIG), CXCL10 (IP-10), and CXCL11 (I-TAC) were present at elevated levels in SLE serum and are known to recruit CXCR3+ effector and memory T cells, as well as natural killer cells and a subset of plasma cells to inflammatory sites. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL10 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
