IGF2 and adenoma: The reduction of cell membrane staining in adenomas from IGF-II transgenic mice was associated with an increased staining of β-catenin in the cytoplasm, e.g. 89% of the adenomas from IGF-II transgenic animals, but only 40% of the adenomas from wild-type mice showed a cytoplasmic staining intensity exceeding that of non-tumorous tissue by more than 15% (Fig. 5Bd–f, Table 3).
