Figure 2B shows the results of a paired PBMCs and TILs population from a patient with HCC. No T-cell reactivity was seen in the nucleofected PBMC cultures to either BMI-1 or EZH2, but interestingly IFN-γ production was extremely high in the TILs culture expressing BMI-1, suggesting that immune responses may be compartmentalized in the tumour. These data demonstrate that T-cell responses to both BMI-1 and EZH2 are evident in cancer patients. This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and hepatocellular carcinoma.
