Although multivariable Cox proportional hazard regression analysis showed that Six1 protein was not an independent factor for predicting the overall survival, logistic regression analysis reflected that Six1 protein was the most influential factor associated with poor 1-year overall survival (P=0.013, Table 4) rather than 5-year overall survival (Table 4), proposing that Six1 may be regarded as a predictor for short-term overall survival of HCC patients after hepatectomy. This evidence concerns the gene SIX1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
