MTHFR and coronary artery disorder: A meta-analysis of 40 observational studies involving 11,162 patients who were homozygous for the thermolabile variant of MTHFR and 12,758 matched controls demonstrated that patients with the MTHFR TT genotype had a 16 percent higher odds of coronary heart disease compared with controls (odds ratio 1.16, 95% CI 1.05–1.28).
