In multivariate analysis, the XRCC1 genotypes (model one) and the combined XPD and XRCC1 genotypes (model two) were independently associated with cancer-specific survival in stage T3/T4 patients (RR: 0.0004, 95% CI: not calculated, P=0.02; RR: 0.0003, 95% CI: 0.00–0.53, P=0.0008, respectively; Table 5). This evidence concerns the gene XRCC1 and cancer.
