Similar investigations using the N6B6 antibody on CXCL12 stimulated, or non-stimulated CaPs (PC3 and LNCaP C4-2B cells), demonstrated that neutralization of CD164 decreased the binding of prostate cancer cell lines to human bone marrow endothelium; further suggesting that CD164 plays a role in prostate cancer localization to the marrow. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL12 and Familial prostate cancer.
