Whereas the relatively high proportion of hnRNP-A2 specific CD8+ TCCs might mirror the common understanding of a generally increased CD8:CD4 ratio in SLE patients [33-35], there are only anecdotal reports about autoreactive CD8+ TCCs in SLE [6] and their role is not entirely clear and may be quite complex indeed. This evidence concerns the gene HNRNPA2B1 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
