Consistent with our above RNAi data, we found that these sirtuin inhibitors could cause the re-expression of the epigenetically silenced, hypermethylated TSGs studied above, and another such gene, CRBP1, in the human breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB-231 (Figure 2) or MCF7 (unpublished data). This evidence concerns the gene RBP1 and breast carcinoma.
