This revealed a slight increase in ERK1 (1.19-fold change, unadjusted P<0.001) and a two-fold decrease in MAP kinase kinase 1 (MEKK1) expression (0.61-fold change, unadjusted P=0.03), the latter being linked to cisplatin-resistance in ovarian cancer (Gebauer et al, 2000), a feature of MOC (Hess et al, 2004). The gene discussed is MAP3K1; the disease is ovarian cancer.
