Our results demonstrate a variation in the expression rate of i) genes previously related to both, ischemic and toxic ARF (including UN-induced ARF), ii) genes that were known to be related to the various types of ARF, but not to participate in UN-induced ARF and iii) genes that were not known to participate in either type of ARF such as translationally controlled tumor protein (TCTP), insulin like growth factor binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) and ribosomal protein S29 (Rps29). Here, CDKN2A is linked to acute kidney injury.
