Yamaguchi et al (2005) also demonstrated that lymphokine-activated killer cell cytotoxic activity against HER2-positive breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB453 and ZR75-1 was significantly increased in the presence of 10 nM trastuzumab. These data, together with the current data, lend support to the evaluation of combination therapy with trastuzumab and immunomodulatory agents, such as interleukin-2 (Fleming et al, 2002; Repka et al, 2003), as well as the construction of bispecific antibodies targeting HER2 and CD16 (Shahied et al, 2004). Here, ERBB2 is linked to breast cancer.
