When we restricted the conditional logistic regression to participants with negative hepatitis B titers, we found that having aflatoxin B1–lysine adduct concentrations at or above the median for this subgroup (0.2 ng/mg) was a risk factor for developing aflatoxicosis (95% CI, 2.1–∞, p = 0.004).
