Its significance is enhanced by the fact that a high percentage of OSCC overexpresses p185 receptors (Xia et al, 1999; Chen et al, 2003) and its extension, via a similar protocol, to another kind of cancer, of the evidence of the ability of DNA electroporation to evoke an efficient immune response to prevent mammary carcinoma in HER-2 transgenic mice (Quaglino et al, 2004a). This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and cancer.
