In contrast, expression of full-length CAPON was significantly correlated with treatment (Table 2), with a 40% decrease in mean expression in the patients (n = 24) with bipolar disorder and a history of treatment with antipsychotics in the past or at time of death (p = 0.003), and a 45% decrease in patients (n = 18) receiving antipsychotics at time of death (p = 0.0007), when compared to antipsychotic-untreated individuals (n = 11) with bipolar disorder.
