Univariate analysis for all groups showed strong positive associations between resistin and fasting glucose (p = 0.01, Figure 2), and negative association with hip circumference (R2 0.6, p = 0.004, p = 0.03 respectively) but in CHD patients, resistin had a strong positive association with systolic and diastolic blood pressure and Apo-AII (R2 0.82, p < 0.0017, R2 = 0.45 p < 0.002 respectively). This evidence concerns the gene RETN and coronary artery disorder.
