On comparing the expressions of CD40, CD83 and CD86 on immature DCs between healthy donors (n = 6) and patients with breast cancer (n = 10), no significant differences were observed (CD40: 87 ± 7% versus 78.5 ± 16%, respectively; CD83: 6 ± 6% versus 10 ± 10%; and CD86: 82 ± 14% versus 69 ± 22%). The gene discussed is CD40; the disease is breast carcinoma.
