Drivdahl reported that the upregulation of IGFBP-6 occurs in association with the activity of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 in prostate cancer cells, and suggested a role for IGFBP-6 in the suppression of prostate tumour cell growth (Drivdahl et al, 1995). Here, IGFBP6 is linked to Familial prostate cancer.
