Moreover, we found three new heterozygous single point mutations in the TP53 gene (Table 3), the incidence of mutations detected in the TP53 gene accounted for only 7.7% (3 of 39 melanoma tumors) in contrast to 18% (7 of 39 melanoma tumors) of single nucleotide polymorphisms found in these tumors. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and melanoma.
