To investigate the relationship between p53 and MMR status and the NFκB-dependent apoptotic response to aspirin, we used the following three CRC cell lines: parental HCT-116 cells (wild-type p53, hMLH1 deficient), HCT-116+ch3 (wild-type p53, hMLH1 proficient) and HCT-116p53−/− (p53 null, hMLH1 deficient). This evidence concerns the gene MLH1 and colorectal carcinoma.
