HMGN2 (high mobility group nucleosomal binding protein 2) was significantly down-regulated (1.6 fold; p = 0.0009) in the OBs of AD patients compared to elderly non-demented controls; there was no significant difference in mean expression levels in the OB and CER as shown in Figure 1 B1 and B2. This evidence concerns the gene HMGN2 and Alzheimer disease.
