CEACAM6 and neoplasm: We have recently reported that overexpression of CEACAM6 is associated with an increased ability of pancreatic cancer cells to survive under anchorage-independent conditions and that post-transcriptional silencing of CEACAM6 expression suppresses this ability, as well as impairing tumour progression in a murine pancreatic adenocarcinoma xenograft model (Duxbury et al, 2004b).
