We have previously shown that the Src family kinase inhibitor pyrazolopyrimidine (PP2) inhibits pancreatic adenocarcinoma cellular invasiveness in association with dephosphorylation of the prototype Src family kinase, c-Src, and suppression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 activities (Ito et al, 2003). The gene discussed is MMP2; the disease is pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
