Plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAI-2) was the gene most highly upregulated in OSPC relative to USPC, while the c-erbB2 gene product (HER-2/neu) was strikingly overexpressed in USPC relative to OSPC and may therefore represent a novel diagnostic and therapeutic marker for this highly aggressive subset of endometrial tumours. This evidence concerns the gene SERPINB2 and endometrium neoplasm.
