Many human cancers exhibit overexpression of HGF and/or c-Met (Olivero et al, 1996; Kurimoto et al, 1998; Edakuni et al, 2001), and several clinical studies revealed that overexpression of HGF and/or c-Met is associated with the prognosis of NSCLC patients (Ichimura et al, 1996; Takanami et al, 1996; Siegfried et al, 1997).
