We identified a number of overexpressed genes previously associated with ovarian and other cancers including VEGF, osteopontin (OP) (Kim et al, 2002), preferentially expressed antigen in melanoma (PRAME) (Steinbach et al, 2002), TACSD2 (or GA733-1) (Shetye et al, 1989; Szala et al, 1990) and prostasin (PRSS8) (Mok et al, 2001) (Figure 2D). The gene discussed is TACSTD2; the disease is cancer.
