We identified a number of overexpressed genes previously associated with ovarian and other cancers including VEGF, osteopontin (OP) (Kim et al, 2002), preferentially expressed antigen in melanoma (PRAME) (Steinbach et al, 2002), TACSD2 (or GA733-1) (Shetye et al, 1989; Szala et al, 1990) and prostasin (PRSS8) (Mok et al, 2001) (Figure 2D). Here, SPP1 is linked to melanoma.
