(3) More recently, NF-κB constitutive activity, as observed in Hodgkin's lymphoma cells, has been associated with a mutation in the gene encoding the IκB-inhibitor (Krappmann et al, 1999), which can lead to impaired control of NF-κB activity and hence to enhanced nuclear activity (Bours et al, 2000). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and Hodgkins lymphoma.
